Spritz Beton and concrete additives

Spritz-beton or shotcrete can be defined as a concrete conglomerate injected at high speed towards a surface where the laying and compacting take place in a single operation. These conglomerates must have an instantaneous setting (“flash set”) that is obtained by adding accelerating setting additives to the mixture.
These additives become indispensable when concrete has to be injected onto surfaces wetted by water infiltration or when a rapid coating in the tunnel becomes necessary for the presence of non-cohesive rock layers, with imminent danger of detachment or when the rapid development of the mechanical strength is required. Prochin Italia produces accelerating additives for silicate-based and alkali-free spritz
beton.
